It is essential to know the source of your essential oils.

Per the company Organix, “it is estimated that at least 77% of essential oils on the market are synthetic. These oils not only have little to no therapeutic value – they can be toxic and dangerous to use. Roughly 21% of essential oils on the market are adulterated with fillers and/or toxic chemicals. That leaves a tiny two percent of essential oils on the market that are the real thing, meaning the plant ingredients are properly grown and distilled so that their therapeutic phytochemical content is what it should be.”

In the United States, essential oils are not regulated or certified which means there are no quality control guidelines in place for essential oils whatsoever. As a smart consumer it is up to you to learn about what you are buying, and the practices of the company that manufactures the oil.”

That is why we (Craig and Susi) work with doTerra Essential oils.  Their commitment to provide Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oils has them third party test every liter of oil that they produce – and each bottle of oil they sell has a number on it, allowing you to go to a designated website and view the testing results from that liter from which it was bottled.  Their testing includes:  Gas chromatography, Mass spectrometry, infrared spectoscopy, heavy metal testing, organoleptic testing, and microbial testing.

When you read “CPTG”, what you should think of is the high standard of purity and potency that is guaranteed through six laboratory tests. As there are no such official standards, dōTERRA has chosen to create its own internal standard and phrase that will remind users of these oils that they have been produced to an exceptional standard.

When you use dōTERRA essential oils, you can know that what you are placing onto your body, breathing in, and even taking internally is safe. Without official standards, it can be hard to know if other essential oil companies are producing 100% pure and quality essential oils. With dōTERRA, you can. 100% purity guaranteed – every batch.. every time.

Susi has been a registered nurse for over 40 years with 25 of those in the field of holistic medicine. Her earlier years of emergency room nursing taught her a strong respect for the effectiveness of emergency acute care medicine. Simultaneously, however, she discovered the limitations of a medical model that frequently treats symptoms without identifying or addressing root causes or prevention

That’s when she turned to more holistic healing models.  And, Susi has added essential oil protocols to the services she offers.
